-
Did you know your home is located near a municipal drinking water supply?
-
Did you know that even small amounts of hazardous chemicals reaching the ground or being discharged into a drain could contaminate your community’s drinking water supply?

The Drinking Water Source Protection Risk Management Services (RMS) program aims to increase awareness and understanding regarding hazardous household chemicals as a drinking water threat and promote simple actions that will help reduce the risks to drinking water sources. The RMS program is delivered by the Upper Thames River Conservation Authority, in partnership with these municipalities.
Treating drinking water is challenging and expensive. The best way to protect drinking water is through prevention. Help protect your community’s drinking water by preventing contamination of water sources from household hazardous wastes.
